10 Signs You’ve Found The Perfect Man

Falling in love is like coming home. Your worries are quieted, and you feel protected in your partner’s arms. When you’re deep in love, it’s hard not to picture the rest of your life with that other person. But how do we know for sure we’ve found the one? Here are 10 powerful signs:

1. You share common interests.

It’s crucial for couples to have common interests and thankfully you have similar hobbies. That means that you will always have something to discuss as well as activities to do together and you’ll never be bored with him. There’s nothing better than having a relationship with someone who’s also your friend.

2. He appreciates who you are.

You are unique and astonishing in your own way. Whether you wake up the neighborhood with your bathroom singing or like solving Sudoku puzzles in the middle of the night, he accepts you exactly the way you are. He doesn’t want to change anything about you.

3. He doesn’t try to change you.

You know you’ve met the one when your partner loves you for who you are. He knows you’re messier than him, that you always need a pet cat, and can’t cook to save your life, and all of that is all right by him.

4. He gives you space.

He has no desire to control you in any way. He lets you wear what you want, pursue your other interests and just hang out with your friends and have a grand time in peace. That’s because he understands the value of me-time and also expects you to give him some space too.

5. He supports you.

No matter how big your dreams may be or how crazy your cravings are at 2 am, he understands and supports it, even if he may not get it. When you’re up all hours of the night cramming for an exam or trying to meet a work deadline, he’ll be right by your side, cheering you on, making your third pot of coffee and rubbing your back when you need a 5-minute break.

6. He makes you feel special, loved and appreciated.

If he opens the door for you, buys things to make your life more productive or support your endeavors or calls you just to check on you (such as making sure you went to your destination safely, or to see how your project is coming along, etc.), then it means he’s into you as a person and that you’re more than just a convenient sex object.

7. He tells the truth.

A good man is always honest. You can trust him to be straight with you. Even when the truth does not put him in a flattering light, his sense of integrity is greater than his ego.

8. You communicate.

A healthy relationship is dependent upon communication. Being open, honest, and talkative with each other is the only way you will get to know each other more. Keep those lines of communication open. The worst way to ruin a relationship is to misunderstand or complicate things.

9. You have similar life goals.

You know you’ve met your better half when you want to walk similar paths in this thing that we call life. Maybe both of you have different fantasies of where you want to travel, or what kind of dog you’ll want to have. But when it comes down to the major things, like deciding whether you want to get married and/or have children, you two are holding the same deck of cards. And you both are holding the winning hand.

10. You’re happy.

That’s the most important, isn’t it? If you are unhappy on a regular basis in your relationship, get out of there. Make sure your happiness begins within yourself. Those who rely on their significant other for ALL of their happiness, usually don’t make it very far.
